Officials Leaderboard — Top and Bottom Rated Elected Officials in America

The PowerPlayers Leaderboard ranks elected officials from across the United States by their citizen rating scores. Updated in real time as new ratings are submitted, the leaderboard shows which officials are earning the trust and approval of their constituents and which are facing significant citizen criticism.

Top Rated Officials

The top-rated section of the leaderboard highlights officials who have consistently earned high citizen ratings across all five PowerPlayers dimensions: legislative effectiveness, constituent responsiveness, ethical conduct, policy alignment, and bipartisan leadership. These officials serve as benchmarks for performance-based civic accountability.

Bottom Rated Officials

The bottom-rated section surfaces officials with the lowest aggregated citizen scores. These ratings reflect widespread constituent dissatisfaction and are a signal for potential electoral vulnerability. Bottom-rated incumbents often attract the most active challenger campaigns on the platform.

Trending Officials

The trending section shows officials whose ratings are moving rapidly in either direction — upward or downward — based on recent rating activity. Trending data reflects current news cycles, legislative votes, public statements, and constituent response in near real time.

How Rankings Are Calculated

PowerPlayers leaderboard rankings are calculated using a Bayesian weighted average that accounts for both rating score and rating volume. Officials with very few ratings are weighted toward the platform average to prevent gaming by small groups of coordinated raters. Full methodology is documented at the PowerPlayers methodology page.
